May 2008: Latest News: SNP seizes control of Stirling Council

The SNP triumphed at the Stirling Council elections on May 3rd 2007 and got seven councillors elected to Stirling Council. The SNP also won the Stirling and Ochil seats at the Scottish Parliament elections.

Councillor Alasdair MacPherson secured the most first preference votes to be elected as one of the three councillors for the Bannockburn Ward at the Stirling Council elections in 2007.
