Profile of Syd Simpson (2003)

My election agent,who has been a good friend of mine for a number of years is local man Syd Simpson.

Syd,who has only recently joined the SNP,was a member of the Stirling Labour party for twenty years.

Syd is now so disillusioned with the right wing policies of New Labour so much so that he feels that there is now no difference of the policies of New Labour and the Tories.

Syd feels that the only party which is now capable of caring for local communities and delivering social justice is the SNP.

Syd and I will fight this campaign on policies which we both believe in,which are local community based politics.We both firmly believe that the opinions of the community are far more important than toeing the party line on orders and policies made by Labour run commitees which have undermined the community voice.
